At VedaTalk, we strive to provide the best astrological services and customer satisfaction. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds are available and the process for requesting them.

We understand that sometimes things don't go as planned. This policy is designed to be fair to both our users and our astrologers while ensuring quality service delivery.

2. Astrologer Consultation Refunds

2.1 Eligible for Full Refund (100%)

Technical Issues

Server downtime, app crashes, or payment processing errors that prevent consultation

Astrologer No-Show

Astrologer did not join the chat/call within 10 minutes of scheduled time

Early Disconnection

Consultation disconnected within the first 2 minutes due to astrologer's fault

Duplicate Charges

You were charged twice for the same consultation

Wrong Astrologer

Connected to a different astrologer than selected

2.2 Eligible for Partial Refund (Up to 50%)

Quality Issues

Astrologer provided incomplete, irrelevant, or unprofessional consultation (case-by-case review)

Communication Issues

Significant audio/video quality problems lasting more than 5 minutes

Premature Ending

Astrologer ended consultation earlier than agreed without valid reason

2.3 NOT Eligible for Refund

Prediction Disagreement

You disagree with the astrologer's predictions or advice

Unfulfilled Expectations

Astrological predictions did not come true or outcomes were different

Completed Consultations

Full consultation was completed as per the agreed duration

User-Initiated Disconnection

You ended the consultation early or were disconnected due to your device/network issues

Late Refund Requests

Refund requested more than 24 hours after consultation

3. Subscription Refunds

3.1 Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period
  • No further charges will be made after the current period ends
  • Your account will revert to the free tier automatically

3.2 Refund Eligibility

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee:

If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase. This applies only to:

  • First-time subscribers (new customers only)
  • Requests made within 7 days of purchase
  • Users who have not excessively used premium features (fair usage policy applies)

3.3 No Prorated Refunds

We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you'll continue to have access until the end of the current period, but no refund will be issued for unused time.

4. Wallet Credits and Recharge Refunds

4.1 Non-Refundable

Wallet credits added to your VedaTalk account are generally non-refundable, except in the following cases:

  • Duplicate Charges: You were charged twice for the same recharge
  • Technical Errors: Credits were not added to your wallet after successful payment
  • Unauthorized Charges: Charges made without your authorization (requires verification)

4.2 Expiry Policy

Wallet credits expire 365 days (1 year) from the date of purchase. Expired credits cannot be refunded or reinstated. We will send email reminders 30 days before expiry.

5. How to Request a Refund

Step-by-Step Process:

    Include: Order ID, Transaction ID, Date/Time, Reason for refund, Supporting evidence (screenshots if applicable)

    You'll receive an email with the decision and next steps

    Get Refund

    If approved, refund will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days

5.1 Required Information

To expedite your refund request, please include:

  • Registered email address or phone number
  • Transaction/Order ID (found in email receipt or order history)
  • Date and time of purchase/consultation
  • Astrologer name (for consultations)
  • Detailed reason for refund request
  • Screenshots or evidence supporting your claim (if applicable)

Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method

Note: Bank processing times may vary. Credit card refunds typically appear in 5-7 business days, while bank account refunds may take 7-14 business days depending on your bank.

Credit/Debit Card

Refunded to the original card used for payment (5-7 business days)

UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, etc.)

Refunded to the linked bank account (3-5 business days)

Net Banking

Refunded to the bank account (7-10 business days)

Digital Wallets (Paytm, etc.)

Refunded to the wallet account (3-5 business days)

International Payments (PayPal, Stripe)

Refunded to the original payment method (5-10 business days)

8. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with our refund decision:

  1. Reply to the decision email with additional information or evidence
  2. Request escalation to a senior support manager
  3. Our escalation team will conduct a final review (3-5 business days)
  4. The escalation decision is final and binding

For unresolved disputes, you may contact consumer protection authorities in your jurisdiction or initiate arbitration as per our Terms and Conditions.

9. Fair Usage Policy

We reserve the right to deny refunds if we detect abuse of our refund policy, including:

  • Repeated refund requests for similar reasons
  • Using services fully and then requesting refunds
  • False or misleading refund claims
  • Chargebacks filed without contacting us first

Accounts found to be abusing the refund policy may be suspended or permanently banned from VedaTalk.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Your continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
